Motivation:
In electric powertrains, high torques are applied and wheel slip occurs. Slipping wheels can be locked by torque vectoring with the aid of clutches. The load capacity with regard to damage behavior of these clutches is to be improved.
Your Task:
The work is divided into the following subsections:

  • Research of the state of the art regarding multiphysics simulations
  • Development of a 3D FEM model with Ansys (preliminary data already available)
  • Validation of simulation results with existing experimental results
  • Formulation of a design recommendation on the basis of the results
  • Run Simulations on the LRZ Cluster
